During a trip to South Africa I had the opportunity to spend a number of nights in a shelter. You never know in advance what you are going to see or whether you are going to see anything. That makes this type of photography challenging but also tiring. After a few hours of staring in the dark, fatigue sets in and it is difficult to keep your eyes open. I then withdrew for a while to take a short nap. I really woke up just in time when I saw this beauty approaching and to my great hope she came to drink at the pond
