An almorant dries its wings in the fog of autumn 2024. Cormorants do not make fat on the wings, because fat does not help with Underwater hunting. So those wings get soaking wet and need to dry in the air. I don't know how long that will take if it's also is foggy and the air is saturated with moisture. I took the picture at the pond nearby in Purmerend. In the background are reed beds in to see the fog.
