This sand drift is surrounded by a forest edge of coniferous and deciduous trees where the mist and dew manage to linger in the shade, while the dune sand quickly warms up due to the sunrise and has dispelled the fog. A timeless photo of a special landscape that is unique in Europe and has been created over the centuries by intensive human processing.
